Pope Francis, in response to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples’ proposal, has announced 2019's mission month of October as "Extraordinary Month of Mission." Under the theme “Baptized and Sent,” the Holy Father desires to awaken the awareness of the missio ad gentes, and reinvigorate the sense of responsibility for proclaiming the Gospel.
In order to promote and encourage participation in the Extraordinary Missionary Month, a website (www.october2019.va) has been launched, and on it there is a section dedicated to “Voices from around the world.” The Congregation Propaganda Fide and the Pontifical Mission Societies have included Sr. Clare Crockett, the sister who passed away in the earthquake in Ecuador in 2016. The website www.october2019.va offers an extensive biography about this young, Irish missionary as well as direct links to www.sisterclare.com and the documentary film All or Nothing: Sr. Clare Crockett.
You can see the publication on the Extraordinary Missionary Month’s official website.
