On October 3, 2018, Opus Dei’s official website published a special multimedia article on the occasion of the start of the Synod of Bishops convoked by Pope Francis titled, “Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment.” The article [note: the article exists in Spanish only], titled “Invited: You Have a Seat Reserved,” is made using Google’s AMP Stories format with the objective of helping youth reflect on the importance of finding their place in the world.
The special contains material for prayer and reflection, quotes from the Gospels, from Pope Francis and other authors, videos, songs and testimonies. Sr. Clare Crockett’s experience of discernment and vocation discovery has been included in this last section.
Amaya Sánchez-Ostiz, the designer of Invited, commented that once the format was decided, they began looking for an attractive layout: “We searched for a long time. In the end, we found AMP stories published by The Washington Post on their website and Instagram. The care put in their photography and typography and the combination of audio and video seemed magnificent. So we decided to do something similar.”
Each one of us is called to fulfill his or her own interior voyage of vocational discernment, which will bring us to find our place in the world. We invite you to begin this journey with Invited: “You Have a Seat Reserved.”
