I'm Sr. Clare's Lost Sheep

Angélica Bustos

Angelica Bustos, Chile:  Many thanks to Sr. Clare who, even though I never met her, completely changed my life after her departure.

Angelica Bustos writes this moving testimony from Chile. Sr. Clare brought her back home after many years far away from the Lord. That is why Angelica defines herself as the lost sheep from the song Sr. Clare liked to sing with the kids in Ecuador.

Oh! Where should I start? My name is Angelica Bustos. I’m 34 years old and from Chile. At one point in my life, I felt called to the consecrated life, but out of fear or because I didn’t know how to listen I said no. Perhaps I said no because I had very little courage at the time. I had been in spiritual dryness for several years, during which neither the Eucharist nor anything that had to do with God meant anything to me.

One day while I was on YouTube, I found a video of a sister. It was Sr. Clare. It was then that my hardened heart began to soften and my dryness was over. I began to assist at Mass again, and since then my heart has been filled with the Spirit of God and Our Mother, the Virgin.

So here I am! Thanks to you all and to Sr. Clare. I’m the lost sheep from the song Sr. Clare liked to sing with the kids. Thank you so much for giving me hope and God’s love back! Best wishes, and thanks to Sr. Clare who completely changed my life after her departure, even though I never met her.
