Even Tears Were Shed

Fr. Matthew Nobrega, USA:  The community of Valencia showed the documentary of Sr. Clare to the Poor Clares of the convent of Gandia. They were very impressed and even some tears were shed.

Fr. Matthew Nobrega, SHM, tells us how much he was impressed by the reactions and the reflections of the Poor Clares of Gandia, Valencia, Spain, after having seen the documentary of Sr. Clare.

A short news report: the Servant Priests and Brothers of the community of Valencia showed the documentary of Sr. Clare to the Poor Clares of the convent of Gandia. They were very impressed and even some tears were shed.

A few weeks later, there was a ceremony where a novice received the habit. Afterwards, all the priests that had concelebrated got together with the community. The abbess told all of them that they had to show the film in their parishes. She shared with them her impression of Sr. Clare’s conversion. She aslo spoke about Sr. Clare’s progressive growth in self-surrender, until she was physically worn out. That was something that stood out to the Poor Clares. We didn’t have to say anything. The Poor Clares were the ones who promoted the documentary.
