It’s Truly Possible to Return to God

Karolina Vera, Playa Prieta, Ecuador:  Seeing the life of Sr. Clare gives me a lot of hope, because it makes me think that, even though I have lived very badly, it’s truly possible to return to God.

Karolina Vera is a young woman, member of the Home of the Mother in Playa Prieta, Ecuador. After having seen the documentary of Sr. Clare, she sent us this testimony full of hope in God’s mercy.

I loved the film. It has been a wakeup call for me to reflect: what am I doing with my life? There is a part in the documentary in which Sr. Clare says that if the Lord asks you for something, He will give you the grace in order to live it well. I don’t know why, but in that moment it was like something touched my soul. I felt as if Sr. Clare was saying, “if the Lord asks you for something, He will give you the strength.”

I also see it as a reminder, something to make me react, that I have to live well, because death can surprise me at any moment.

Seeing the life of Sr. Clare gives me a lot of hope, because it makes me think that, even though I have lived very badly, it’s truly possible to return to God.
