Kary Rojas, Colombia:

kary rojasI speak to her and I ask for her intercession so that the Lord give me light and guide me so that I may spread [this message], just like she did.

Kary Rojas has written us from Colombia. She is the Pastoral Coordinator for a school run by the Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. She has written to share with us how Sr. Clare’s testimony is helping her spiritual life.

My name is Kary Rojas. I am Colombian. I am the Pastoral Coordinator of a school run by the Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament.

I didn’t know Sr. Clare during her life, but her death has made me understand how God works… It is as if she has gone beyond the borders of the countries she had lived in and the people she knew, leaving her mark and helping people to experience God. It was necessary for her to die to be able to go beyond, to go throughout the world and make her life a vivid example of God’s love.

Those who met her during her life are so lucky! I can see in her the testimony of a saint that allowed God to touch her misery, a person who converted and gave her life completely to Him…

Her life is an answer to our times. I have taken her as a role model for the girls I work with, who sometimes feels like the world has overcome them. From the point of view of Sr. Clare’s life, I have shown them that it’s not true. The world can’t prevail over them because it is God's love that dominates everything else. We just have to let ourselves be loved.

I have a special condition: dwarfism. Although my process of overcoming this is far advanced thanks to God’s love, I feel as if Sr. Clare’s life has helped me to better understand my mission on this earth. I speak to her and I ask for her intercession so that the Lord give me light and guide me so that I may spread [this message], just like she did.

You should feel very proud to have had a soul like hers among you, because Our Lord chose your congregation as the place where Sr. Clare could experience her conversion.

I can see the Apostle Paul, St. Francis, St. Augustine in her… It is as if each one of them gave their best [qualities] to Sr. Clare.

I don’t know if you are going to publish this because I didn’t know her, but I wanted to share with you what her life has done in my life. Now that I know her, I have made her my spiritual friend.

Her death has allowed many other people to know her. Now there are no barriers and [she] can continue evangelizing from where she is.

Greetings from Colombia. Continue to share things about her…

I am sure that she will be a Saint soon…
