Children are constantly asking me, “Sr. Clare, when will you take us over to see Jesus in your chapel?”
Last year in Religion class I brought a lot of your children over to our chapel in the convent, to do adoration. When they come over, we open the doors of the tabernacle and allow the children to pray before Our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. I try and teach the children how to talk to Jesus, but most importantly, how to listen to Him because Our Lord does speak!
I have taken the children over to the Blessed Sacrament chapel, and the people who were there praying were deeply moved to see how these little people pray and with the faith that they do so. However, the children cannot pray aloud there, or sing to Our Lord (as there are other people praying) but they can do so in our chapel.
Children are constantly asking me, “Sr. Clare, when will you take us over to see Jesus in your chapel?” but, as it is not always possible to do this during school time, I’ve thought about starting up a prayer group for children after school for children from kindergarten to 2nd grade.
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me,” and I think it consoles the Heart of God to see these children pray. And on that note, the prayer group will start on Tuesday the 23rd of October from 2:45 until 3:15. We will pick up the children and then take them out to car line at 3:15.
If you allow your child to come, please complete the following permission form. Please return this sheet before Friday so that we know who we have to pick up and what grade they are in.
May Our Lord and Our Lady bless you and protect
