My first memory of Sr. Clare is from the day on which she gave a talk during a youth retreat at Assumption Parish in Jacksonville, FL during the 2006-2007 school year. The fact that she was so young impressed me. I remember her strong Northern Irish accent, too.
She spoke energetically to us against mediocrity. This is what she said: "You think you're good because you go to Mass on Sunday? What do you do when you're not at church? Live in mortal sin. That's mediocrity. In the book of Revelation, the Lord says that if you're neither hot nor cold He will vomit you out of his mouth." Her words were fire and lacked human respect. What she sought was the salvation of the young people's souls.
