Sr. Sandra Galarza: From the moment I met her I noticed that she was full of gifts that she did not keep to herself; she developed them to serve her community.
Sr. Sandra Galarza met Sr. Clare when she was a college student and Sister had recently come to Guayaquil, Ecuador. She felt that Sr. Clare was like an older sister from whom she could learn a great deal.
Sr. Clare was an excellent “older sister” for me. When I entered as a candidate, she had just become part of the community of Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother in Guayaquil. I shared two years in the same community with her. Sr. Clare certainly added something special to the community: she was always laughing and being silly wherever we were. From the moment I met her I noticed that she was full of gifts that she did not keep to herself; she developed them to serve her community. I learned so much from her when I was a candidate. Now I treasure all of those moments singing, talking, playing and—most of all—laughing with her.
