A few days before Holy Week we, a group of girls along with two Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother, were on our way to Playa Prieta. We passed by the cemetery where Valeria is buried. Suddenly, one of the sisters stopped and said to us, “Girls, we’re going to go into the cemetery to see Valeria and to entrust the Holy Week Encounter to her.” The girls were jumping for joy, because for some of them it was the first time that they had been to Valeria’s grave.
While we were there, Valeria was very present. There was peace, and we felt as if she was smiling at us. I’m sure she was happy that we were there. While I was before her grave, I asked her if she could help me to live the Holy Week Encounter well, seeing as she was always willing to surround herself with an unlimited generosity.
Valeria is a model and an example of how a young person should live, totally surrendered to the Lord, without holding anything back.
