If you want to have enough strength to continue, you have to do prayer, pray the Rosary, and go to Mass. If you know you’re not doing well, you have to seek help.
One afternoon, some girls and I traveled to the Students’ Residence that the Home of the Mother has in Portoviejo. It was Mayra’s birthday; she is one of the candidates who also lost her life in the earthquake. While everyone was celebrating, I spent some time speaking with Valeria. I was not doing well in my spiritual life and Valeria knew that. I remember her telling me, “You know that the Lord will always be at your side. Always! Sometimes you might not experience that, and you will only see that the path is long. If you want to have enough strength to continue, you have to do prayer, pray the Rosary, and go to Mass. If you know you’re not doing well, you have to seek help. Speak with one of the Sisters, and tell her everything without hiding anything. You know that you can’t do this by yourself. We always need help. Let someone help you! Remember that I always pray for you, so that you can be faithful to what the Lord is asking of you. Ask Our Lady for help. She will always help you and will not permit you to leave the Home. She, like a good Mother, will always hold you by the hand. Entrust yourself completely [to Her], and allow God and Our Heavenly Mother work in you. Keep your heart open, always!”
After everything that she said, she helped me a lot. Valeria always helped me. She always encouraged me. I am sure that she cares for me and prays for me from Heaven, just like she did here on earth.
