María Jessenia Salvatierra Molina, Ecuador:
I was always impressed by the strength she had to fight until the end and always be faithful
Hi, I'm Jessenia from Chone (Ecuador).
I knew Mayra since we were little girls, but I got to know her better when she joined the Home of the Mother in 2009.
Before her conversion, she was really prideful, but afterwards she became humble. Without a doubt, as she got to know God better, she let herself be guided and shaped, because she got rid of what she didn't need in her life. In her heart, God and the Virgin Mary were enough for her. For Mayra, the Virgin Mary was always her Mother, Teacher, and Model.
Mayra like to help others a lot, especially the Sisters. Her loud laugh was contagious for everyone. The virtues that stood out the most in her were joy and serving others.
I remember how she fought a lot in her spiritual life, but she was certain about her vocation and was very determined to respond to Lord’s call. I was always impressed by the strength she had to fight until the end and always be faithful.
Another thing that Mayra liked was to do apostolate in the missions in Puyo, in the Ecuadorian jungle.
She was a really good athlete and she loved to play soccer.
