I met Magu at the Technical University of Manabí while we were in line to enroll. The important part about this encounter wasn’t just meeting her but sharing the joy of knowing Christ. When Magu found out that I was going to join the San Pedro Seminary in Portoviejo, she was overjoyed because we were going to work together for the Kingdom of God with Our Blessed Mother. With great joy she said:
“Brother! From now on I will be praying for your faithfulness and your vocation! Be careful about looking back. I just want to tell you to let yourself fall in love with the One who has given us everything.”
And I answered:
“Of course, my Magu. And don’t get tired of praying! Because many are called, but few are determined.”
She concluded saying:
“May Our Blessed Mother accompany us on this adventure.”
She always clung to the Heart of Mary and with her life taught others to do so.
