Maria Augusta entering as a candidate
María Augusta was an exceptional soul. No matter what would happen she always remained faithful because she had her heart placed in the Lord. Her protector saint was St. Josemaría Escrivá and she loved him a lot.
I remember that before she entered as a candidate she said that soon she wanted to be vested in the habit of the Servant Sisters. Before her entrance as a candidate, we wrote to each other and in one of her messages she said, "I am so happy. Tomorrow I will tell you at length all the details."
On the day she entered as a Servant Sister, Fr. [Rafael] said to her, "Not one step back." She always remembered that with a lot of affection and she kept it as her motto.
She was very generous. At camp this year, one of the campers in her group didn't have a hat and when she realized it she gave her own hat to the girl. María Augusta was in charge of the Residence for university students and she always gave the best of herself and put herself in the last place. It was a joy to be in her company.
