Jazmina would always ask us how we were doing and she encouraged us a lot. She would show us her affection with a hug. The week of the flood I remember that we went to Mass in the morning and it was really cold. She gave me a big hug and said to me, “I love you so much, Cristina.” She would always tell us that we had to be good.
It really struck me when I found out that her mother had terminal cancer. I thought to myself, it must be so hard to go through what she is going through, but she lives it with an amazing joy. You would never see her down in the dumps. I know she suffered, but she didn’t show it.
