If You Knew How Much God Loves You

Handkerchief

Maria José Zambrano, Ecuador:  Catalina wrote me the following: “If you knew how much God and Our Mother love you, you would cry for joy. Everyone on this handkerchief loves you, but God doesn’t lose in generosity.”

Maria José Zambrano tells the story about her second handkerchief from the summer camps with the Home of the Mother and the dedication that Catalina wrote on it.

Catalina at a summer camp

This is a picture of my second handkerchief from my second summer camp with the Home of the Mother, in 2016. It is also a long story that I will try to summarize. Catalina was the camp leader that year. When I found out, I was mad, because I wanted her to be my team leader that year as well. Obviously, I was thinking about myself and what I wanted, and not what the Lord wanted. When I told her, she told a really bad joke, and she was the only one who was laughing, but in the end, I found myself laughing with her. I was only like that the first day. The rest of the summer camp, I had a good time. In my team we helped each other out a lot.

During craft time on the last day of the summer camp I gave her my handkerchief. Catalina wrote me the following: “If you knew how much God and Our Mother love you, you would cry for joy. Everyone on this handkerchief loves you, but God doesn’t lose in generosity.” Since that moment, that quote is very important to me.
